Careers - May 2025

Graduates of the CDA program work in a supportive capacity with registered speech-language pathologists or audiologists and may find employment in a variety of health care or community settings such as:

  • acute hospitals, adult and children's rehabilitation centres or long-term care facilities
  • school boards or daycare settings
  • private speech or audiology clinics
  • hearing screening services or hearing retail settings
Refer to the Communicative Disorder Assistant Association of Canada website for a list of current examples of . Depending on the setting or area of specialization desired, graduates may need to relocate across the province or country to find employment as a CDA.
